My husband and I plan to start attending church this week. Our baby is already 6 months old, and we'd like to have her christened but are not members of the church. Do parents generally wait until they are members or christened themselves to have their child christened? My husband is Catholic but not practicing, and I grew up in the Baptist church. Baptists don't christen babies, so I really have no experience in this area.
